The Faces Of Marketplace

So I have been a little quiet on the blog lately. June was filled with Birthday celebrations and holidays – it’s now time to get back to reality.
This post is a little bit of a flash back. In April I entered my boutique in a competition held by ASOS to be the face of Marketplace and win a spot on their homepage. The homepage is a place boutiques can show what they do best – designing, selling and sourcing unique fashion – plus how and where they do it.

If you have followed my boutique for a while you will already know photography is a passion of mine. I love to do “on location” shoots for each season to showcase my key pieces. With a little help from two lovely assistants I managed to get some behind the scenes shots of myself in action with my camera.

When it comes to a photoshoot I am usually a solo act, with just myself and my tripod. It can be a little time consuming, but having only myself to rely on it means if the weather is having a good day I can pull an impromptu shoot together pretty swiftly. Last year I worked with a few models who were fantastic, working with models gives me more chance to get creative behind the camera. I took a couple of shots to show these different set ups.
I was delighted to be chosen as one of the finalists. I have been selling on ASOSMarketplace for 3 years now, the platform has grown tremendously. It now showcases over 800 independent and vintage boutiques so to be chosen feels pretty awesome!
I am proud to say my work is now LIVE on the homepage, click the image below to take a look a the site and the other fantastic entries. Well done to everyone who won!
